Om Bnna temple, Pali

Om Banna Temple (also known as Om Banna Mandir or Bullet Baba Temple) is a famous temple located in the Pali district of Rajasthan, near the town of Jodhpur. The temple is unique and attracts a large number of visitors due to its fascinating and somewhat mystical legend. The temple is dedicated to Om Banna, a local deity believed to be the spirit of a young man who died in a motorcycle accident, and the story surrounding the temple is one of the most well-known and revered in Rajasthan.

History and Legend of Om Banna Temple:

The story behind Om Banna Temple is both tragic and intriguing. The temple's origins date back to an incident involving a young man named Om Singh Rathore, who was riding his motorcycle, a Royal Enfield Bullet, near the village of Chotila (around 20 kilometers from Pali). According to the legend, Om Banna had a fatal accident at this location, and his motorcycle was seized by the police as part of an investigation into the crash. However, the very next day, the motorcycle mysteriously reappeared at the accident site, despite being locked up in the police station.

When the motorcycle was taken back to the station and locked again, it was reported to have again appeared at the same spot the next day. This strange and unexplainable event led locals to believe that Om Banna’s spirit was guiding the motorcycle, and it was later decided to build a temple in honor of his spirit, leading to the establishment of the Om Banna Temple.

The motorcycle is displayed in the temple, and it is said to be a sacred object. Devotees and travelers often stop at the temple to offer prayers and seek blessings for safety, especially before embarking on long motorcycle journeys.
